Going Up The River W/ Lunch And Entertainment

Sails every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.

Sail along the ​Guadiana River​, the natural border between Portugal and Spain. Going upstream pass by empty countryside, red-roofed villages and reed beds filled with water birds.    Relax onboard soaking up the scenery and tranquility. The river boat moors at a timeless village, giving you an opportunity to stroll through  and see how the locals live before heading to the restaurant to enjoy a traditional Algarvian barbecue lunch.    Delicious grilled fish and chicken served with salad and regional red and white wine included.    Live music will create a cheerful and jolly atmosphere where everyone can join in or sit and watch! After lunch sail back down the​ Guadiana River​ taking in the unspoilt surroundings.     

ITINERARY

10:00 AM​ – We leave Vila Real de Santo António by boat.

We sail on the Guadiana river and the Ribeira de Odeleite (if conditions allow)

12:30​ ​PM ​– We arrive at Foz de Odeleite

We visit the village and head towards the ‘Casa das Buganvilias’. There is time to  sunbathe and swim in the pool

1:30 PM​ – Lunch, consisting of grilled fish, bbq chicken, boiled potatoes, mixed salad,  homemade bread, fruit, red and white wine (all you can have!)

There is musical animation during lunch

3:30 PM ​–  We return to the boat

5:00 PM ​– We’re back at Vila Real de Santo António

Please bring comfortable clothes, bathing suit, towel and sunscreen.
